WHO AM I?

My Path to Filmmaking

As a boy, I was always asking questions. Having acted in plays and dramas since the age of 12, I became infatuated with films. Throughout my filmmaking degree I practiced a lot of screenwriting alone, exploring a range of storytelling, tackling genres such as comedy, drama and romance. I primarily specialised in sound design on projects throughout University, without any prior experience in the field. I felt very confident in this realm and appreciative of the art of putting sound to picture. Working with incredibly talented, creative collaborators is something which I love, especially producing exciting projects which I believe will make an impact on people's lives. Starting a career in on-air production whilst still studying at University greatly helped my organisation and leadership skills. These time pressured environments are common on film sets and these skills are invaluable in achieving a project you can be proud of. I plan to continue writing after University and to explore the balance of comedy and drama in tackling tough subjects.
